Hauling Ass...

Ya know, It's Dec. 30th and I am STILL sick. I have been sick since Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving! I don't know why I am staying sick but I need to haul ass and get out of this house..and I would if hauling ass wouldn't mean taking 2 trips! (yep, major weight gain)

I feel like ass! I am congested, my head hurts and I have Oompa Loompas in my nose producing snot faster than I can blow. (Tip: Get stock in Kleenex) I'm coughing and sneezing and can barely stay awake. Oh, and I'm winey...oh dear god, am I whiney!

Last few days things have happened that I don't feel is right or fair and I haven't cussed anyone...now that's sick. But, once I'm feeling better...It's on like donkey kong.

Confession Time....

I HATE the design of my blog. I don't know why I hate it so much, but I do. I need to learn how to do all the fancy things on the computer so I can change it myself. I guess in the next couple of weeks, I am going to see if I can get it changed somehow. If anyone know how to design a template for me or know where I can find one..please let me know :)

My 2006 Resolutions...

Yep, I'm one of THOSE. I make resolutions and they normally last at least through January, but this year I'm not aiming for the stars, no way jose, I am going to aim for something I know can last through at least March!

1- Don't stab anyone
2- Don't kill anyone
3- Limit the use of my middle finger to only ONCE a day at most
4- Post more on my blog
5- Keep up with Birthdays, Anniversaries, Holidays and Thank You cards

I'm hoping I can handle this..it's alot of pressure...but we'll see!

Goodbye Christmas and 2005...

....and hellllllloooooooooooo 2006! I know 2006 won't be here for a few more days, but here lately I seem to be too busy to post everyday. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and had a good year. This past year has been tough for me and my family and we are looking forward to a new year and a new beginning. I will leave this with some pictures of our Christmas trees, because frankly I was too lazy to take pictures of anything else *sighs*

This is our "snoopy tree" which is in our bedroom. It wasn't decorated the way I normally do, but again, I was lazy this year.

Our tree in the living room, I have decided to start collecting hallmark ornaments. Most of the ornaments on the tree now are the Pier 1 "Le Bien" ornaments that I collect. Also, this is our fireplace stuff.

This tree is in our gameroom/office. The pic is a little dark and small..but you can click on the pic and it will show up bigger :)

Maybe My Good Heart Will Keep Me Out Of Hell...

Okay, so some of you may not know who I REALLY am..but I am someone with a good heart and willing to help any way I can. With that being said, let me tell you what I have been up to.

Last week or so I was helping a friend here in the Aiken area with an empty stocking fund for the children in the next town over. Well, I was out there in my santa hat and ringing that ANNOYING little bell, being the best bell ringer I could be. (Probably how I got sick) By the way, I was able to get 250.00 to add to the stocking fund in 3.5 hours. Anyhoo, this woman pulled up in a van and tears running down her face and asking where she could go to sign up her daughter for the empty stocking fund. I had to tell her that the registration had ended days before and I was sorry. I did tell her to leave her name and number and I will see what I could do.

Well, after asking about MAYBE her signing up late...and being told a firm NO...I took the matters into my own hands. I called the lady back and told her no I couldn't get her registered but not to worry, her daughter will have a Christmas.

So, that night I started on the phone calling everyone I know. WOW, the people have really stepped up for this little girl. She is 7 years old and still believes in Santa, but because her mom couldn't afford anything last year, she was told Santa was too sick to deliver presents.

NO CHILD SHOULD HAVE TO WAKE UP CHRISTMAS MORING WITH NOTHING UNDER THE TREE.

So, in the past week, I have gotten one church to donate $50.00 for food at the local grocery store.

One friend of mine, has raised over $70.00 at his work, that we will go Friday and pick her out some toys.

My mother and father in law are buying her a brand new bike (she's never had one)

Some of my friends are going to pick up toys and stocking stuffers.

I local nursery is donating a Christmas tree, and my mom and dad bought all the decorations.

I went out shopping this morning with the thought of buying her a winter coat. SHE DOESN'T HAVE A WINTER COAT! and well, this is what I came home with...as much as I wanted to do more, I was tired!

progress 001

I feel she will have a wonderful Christmas, she may never have the chance to wake up on Christmas morning with toys under the tree, but this will be ONE Christmas she will never forget!

Ha!

One question...

Where was this woman and her ideas when I found out my exhusband was having an affair with my best friend??

If you haven't seen this -honestly can you read it and watch the film clip without laughing in some manner??

Do you hear what I hear?

tick! tick!tick!tick!tick!!! Ya'll hear that?? I do! Wanna know what it is?? Yep! You guessed it! Time ticking away. Reality hit me this morning, Christmas is next Sunday. That gives me 11 days to buy and wrap presents. I haven't even thought about what I am to buy. I know what I want..does that count for anything?

(I want a pearl necklace)

Anyhoo, I have been kind of lazy with this blog lately..and I will list the reasons why...

1- been sick! *cough, honk, gag*
2- been having too much fun with friends
3- lazy
4- planning a birthday party for January

Speaking of birthday parties, I am planning a huge surprise birthday for my dad in Jan. I sent out the invitations with RSVP cards to send back. Now, the RSVP cards where already addressed back to me, stamped and all they had to do was write their name and check yes or no if they are coming and put down how many will be attending. Easy, right? WRONG! I have only gotten back 27 RSVP cards and there are approx. 35 still out there. Mom, said I should call them..and say what? excuse me, this is Mrs. TSB and you didn't follow instructions and I was just wondering if you will be coming? I feel I shouldn't have to call them..but I guess I will. Why not add one more thing on my list of things to do, as if I don't have enough.bleh!

Things I WILL accomplish this weekend..

1- buy and wrap Christmas gifts
2- call the non-responding RSVPers
3- make a list of goodies I will be baking for Christmas (sugar-free cookies and gingerbread already on list)
4- buy the stuff I need to make goodies
5- go to a pajama Christmas party Friday night
6- go to a Christmas party Saturday night
7- make plans for Christmas
8- reserve clubhouse for party in Jan.
9- reserve 4 helium tanks so we can blow up 1500 balloons on the day of the party
10- buy Mr. TSB something because our anniversary is coming up quick! (Dec. 21st)

See number 5 and 6?? that's what I can't get anything done! I guess I need to get started! Wish me luck!

The Winner Of The Crappiest Gift Of The Season Is...

Lottery tickets! Yep, you heard me. Here in SC they have commercials every 10 minutes telling us how GREAT it would be to buy lottery tickets for Christmas gifts this year. But, in the next commercial they are giving us an 1-800 number to call if we THINK we are addicted to playing the lottery. "If you feel you have to play you may be addicted" says the woman in the commercial. Okay...don't you HAVE to play it to win it?? So, am I addicted? Although I've bought very few tickets since I've been here? Anyhoo, I am not going to add to peoples addictions by buying those cheerful lottery tickets. No way! Not Me!

Although, I know I would never buy lottery tickets for Christmas presents I have done some thinking on the idea. On Christmas morning lottery ticket gift-giving can go one of two ways..

One way- The receiver of the cheerful lottery tickets wins $10,000.00..HOT DAMN! What A Wonderful Christmas Gift...and they will kiss your ass all the way until next Christmas.

The other way (and most likely)- They scratch off the little boxes to realize they have won NOTHING! They look up at you with a worthless piece of paper in their hands..and the best thing you can come up with is..."Well, the lady on tv made it sound like a good idea!"

Personally, I think I will stick to giving gifts people can enjoy! and use! and be happy to receive!

But, remember...if you feel like you HAVE to play...you may be addicted!

I'm a SAHM to 3 girls. We became foster parents in May 2006 in hopes of adoption. We love our girls and could never picture ourselves without them. Although life is much busier, we couldn't be any happier. Here's our story...
