Lions And Tigers And Carnies...Oh My!

This past weekend was very busy! Since it has gotten cooler here, we decided to go to the zoo and the fair! It was a little rough with the babies, but we all survived!

My birthday is coming up (28th) and I am dreading hitting the big 3-0. I haven't been looking forward to it at all! I'm not sure what we will be doing for my birthday..I'm hoping it will be short and simple.

Halloween is coming. I hate Halloween, never liked it as a child either. I love the fall and winter but dressing up and begging for candy isn't my thing. I always said "when I have children we won't be celebrating Halloween", with that being said, the costumes have been picked out and I am still looking for the twins costumes. We are going to go trick-or-treating and I am going to enjoy myself.

Around here as soon as Halloween is over we normally decorate for Christmas. I L.O.V.E. Christmas! I love the cooler weather and the spirit of Christmas. I am debating on if I should decorate so soon with the little ones...will they get bored with it before Christmas actually gets here? How many of my collectible ornaments will get broken? or should I just go out and buy new decorations? I guess we have some decisions to make.

Here are my girls...I never thought I could love another human being as much as I love these girls...

I will leave you with one final question...Why are the keys on my keyboard so STICKY?!?!?! I guess sometimes it's best not knowing....

The Unthinkable Has Happened...

Wanna know what we have been up to? I traded in my SUV for a mini van. MINI VAN PEOPLE! In the last 4 years I have gone from a mustang GT...to a SUV..and now a minivan. Nobody thought I would do it, even as I was walking out the door to go pick it up they just chuckled and said "there's no way she would drive a minivan, she'll be back" Well, I came back.. with a minivan. I guess it's official now, I'm a mom. Now, if I could just find one of those soccer ball magnets that's standard on the back of ALL minivans, I will be set!

All the girls are doing wonderful. The twins came home last week from the hospital. They are improving more and more every day. Most of you don't know, but they were severely abused by their family and we wasn't sure if they were going to survive. They did! They said the multiple skull fractures, rib fractures and the broken leg bones will heal...it's the brain damage we are worried about. The smallest twin had 2 brain surgeries in less that 21 days, but with the VP shunt, she is doing wonderful!

We have been extra busy with the family, and my dad will be coming down next weekend to meet all the girls, mom has been staying here with us helping getting us settled in. I can't tell you how many times I have woken my mom from a deep sleep to tell her the baby is crying and she hates me. Can a woman go through postpartum depression without actually HAVING the baby? Ha! I'm sure it's just pure exhaustion. I'll catch up on my sleep when they turn 18.

I have pictures that I can post, just can't right now, don't have time. Talk to ya soon!

I'm a SAHM to 3 girls. We became foster parents in May 2006 in hopes of adoption. We love our girls and could never picture ourselves without them. Although life is much busier, we couldn't be any happier. Here's our story...
