Decking The Halls...

Posting 2 days in a row? Did hell freeze over? Shocking I know...I'll wait a second while you catch your breath from excitement. Better? Wonderful!

I did some thinking last night and even though it feels like everything is falling apart around me...I can't fix everything, not now anyway. Sooo with that being said, we are going to enjoy Christmas if it kills us all.

I am going to venture out with the 3 kids today to the Hallmark store. I AM going to buy cards and I AM going to buy some Keepsake Ornaments. I WILL come home and hang the ornaments and get my card list ready. (If you want to receive a card from us, email me your name and address, I would LOVE to send a card! (

In the morning, Mr. and I will go outside and decorate the yard. Then we will come inside and finish decorating. Then I am going to go to the bank and ring a bell for a few hours for the Empty Stocking Fund for the kids in our area.

THEN we will go to our town tree lighting so the kids can see Santa and we can all stand out in the cold holding candles and singing Christmas Carols out of tune and mumble through the parts we don't know.

I will start buying Christmas presents and start shipping to family and friends out of town.

I will do all this with a smile on my face and bells on my toes. I feel like I am having to force myself to get happy...but we WILL have fun damnit.

So, what's ya'lls plan for the weekend?

Blogger feydargonet had this to say:

Glad to hear you are alive! Sorry this holiday season is tough for you! I will keep your grandmother in my prayers. I hope you and the girls get to feeling better soon. Heres to hoping the rest of your year gets better and your new year starts off right(it should you have a full family now!). BTW I sent you a Christmas card but I think I forgot to put my screen name on there so if you got a card from the Martin family (Sarah, James & Jeramyah) and you don't know who it was, its us! :)

I'm a SAHM to 3 girls. We became foster parents in May 2006 in hopes of adoption. We love our girls and could never picture ourselves without them. Although life is much busier, we couldn't be any happier. Here's our story...
