What A Downer...

Today Mr. had a doctors appointment and I thought I would go with him since I am having problems with water retention AGAIN. I have PCOS which a major side effect to PCOS is water retention, been battling it since I was a teenager. Anyway, once we got in there I was telling her about my ankles swelling real bad and she told me to check with Paula to see if she could "fit me in"

So, once my file was pulled they weighed me, I had gained another 3lbs in 2 weeks. None of us were surprised because my puffiness from the fluid was noticeable. So, they took me into the room to check my blood pressure, 173/101, yeah you read that right. I thought my dr. was going to have a stroke! So, she sat down to have a serious talk with me. We are increasing some medicines, decreasing some and adding some. She was so close to sending me to the hospital and it scared the hell out of me.

So, by this time I was in tears telling her that as soon I think something is going right in my life, 10 things goes wrong. Its always been that way. So, once we tackled the blood pressure and water retention, we moved on to my weight. She's not happy. And now more than ever I really need to watch it. So...I guess we will see where it goes from here. I have an appointment next week with her.

Oh, BTW, you know the ear problem I had a few weeks ago? Well my hearing FINALLY came back for the most part, but she checked my ears today...and the fluid is back and is infected AGAIN. According to the ENT dr. that if I continued having fluid in my ears that he will have to put tubes in. I guess we can worry about that another day, I've got enough on my plate right now.

I'm a SAHM to 3 girls. We became foster parents in May 2006 in hopes of adoption. We love our girls and could never picture ourselves without them. Although life is much busier, we couldn't be any happier. Here's our story...
