ok, but remember - that 4 pounds wasn't necessarily gained THIS week, but since your last visit.
keep your chin up!
sorry to barge in here like this... but maybe you're not eating ENOUGH.
i'm a veteran WW'er, and i'm here to say that under 1000 calories a day is NOT enough. your body's going into starvation mode with that, especially combined with the release of calories from your working out.
you should never go below 1200, and in most cases, never below 1500.
by using a calorie calculator that tells you how many calories needed daily to maintain your weight, you can easily subtract 500 from that each day, and since 3500 calories = 1 lb., you should lose 1 lb a week just by that. add in the exercise, and that's even more.
but by not eating enough, your body goes into starvation mode (yes, even if it's just a little bit for a little while) and will not only hold onto the fat you currently have, but will store all calories you consume, even if it's just a few.
example: i'm 5'7 and weigh 257. my cal. intake to maintain this weight is 2417 (this is with no activity). So if I drop that to 1900 per day, that's over a pound a week. if i exercise 7 days, and burn 250 calories a day doing so, that's another half a pound. yes... as you get smaller, you need less calories to lose weight. but again, you should never go below 1200.
try this site: http://www.weightlossforgood.co.uk/calorie_intake_calculator.htm - that will tell you your targets.
again, sorry to sound like a "nuge" but i'm pretty well travelled in the area of weight loss knowledge and such... my problem is the motivation to do something. lol
I'm a SAHM to 3 girls. We became foster parents in May 2006 in hopes of adoption. We love our girls and could never picture ourselves without them. Although life is much busier, we couldn't be any happier. Here's our story...
