5 Magic Words...

I heard the most beautiful words today..wanna know what they are??

It's not gonna last forever

Yep, thats what my dr. told me about my hearing loss! Somehow the cut on my eardrum wasnt healing quick (could have something to do with me having diabetes) And through all of this there is MAJOR fluid backup in my ear. So, after he saw that he wanted to make sure my sinus' were okay..so he sprayed stuff up my nose.

Um..I dont pick my nose for a reason..I don't like stuff UP my nose!

He left the room and came back in 10 minutes later and said..

Dr: Is your nose numb?

Me: No.

Dr: Is your teeth numb?

Me: Nope, why should they be?

Dr: Well in most cases the medicine I sprayed in your nose numbs people...

Me: (interrupting) Um..if you are going to cause me pain, you might want to spray some more..I can wait! (saying this with a panic look on my face.

Dr: Nah, you SHOULD be fine

Then he pulled this HUGE wire thing out with a lightbulb on the end and sent it up my nose and down my throat. I. Thought. I. Was. Going. To. Die.

So, after everything was said and done. I still have a small opening on my eardrum and because of that the fluid my eardrum has retracted back into my ear (reason why I can't hear) So, he gave me some meds to get rid of the fluid hopefully..I see him in 10 days. If the fluid is NOT gone then he will have to go back in my ear and CUT a piece of my eardrum to drain the fluid. I am SO praying the fluid goes away...that numbing stuff he has..SUCKS!

I'm a SAHM to 3 girls. We became foster parents in May 2006 in hopes of adoption. We love our girls and could never picture ourselves without them. Although life is much busier, we couldn't be any happier. Here's our story...
